  • Visit local businesses and industries to discuss educational opportunities for employees.
  • Plan and organize college campus tours for student and community groups; maintain the online tour request form.
  • Meet with GED preparation classes and attend GED graduation ceremonies.
  • Represent the college at regional college and career fairs and community events.
  • Maintain knowledge of programs and degree offerings; work with deans to promote programs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Public Relations for recruitment materials and merchandise.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Excellent customer service and computer skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities at once and prioritize effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field
  • Colleague system user experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years work experience in a post secondary or community college system or in a relevant field or setting.
  • Work experience in post secondary education in a student services related area or work experience related to customer service within an office environment.
  • Career Readiness Certificate ( CRC ) preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with high school counselors, administrators, and staff to support post-secondary transition efforts.
  • Conduct monthly visits to each high school in the service area.
  • Support recruitment efforts involving high school students, local workforce partners, and community-based organizations to promote academic and career pathways.
  • Visit local businesses and industries to discuss educational opportunities for employees.

  • Meet with GED preparation classes at least twice annually and attend GED graduation ceremonies.
  • Represent the college at regional college and career fairs and community events.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of programs and degree offerings at the high school, community college, and university levels. Work with academic deans to assist with promoting programs.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing & Public Relations for all recruitment materials, including student merchandise.
  • Work with the Foundation Coordinator regarding BCCC Ambassador selection and tour participation.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and stay informed of best practices in recruitment and student engagement.
  • Communicate and interact professionally with students, parents, school officials, community members, and college staff.
  • Comply with all college policies and procedures as outlined in the Faculty and Staff Policy Manual.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Work with the director of customized training as necessary to ensure successful programs with employers.
