Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL is seeking a Recruitment and Retention Specialist for the TRIO Upward Bound program. This grant-funded, part-time temporary role focuses on recruiting eligible participants and improving retention across ALL SITES.

Under the Upward Bound Director, you will develop outreach plans, build school/community partnerships, and represent the project at events. Strong public speaking and organization are essential.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree required in education, psychology, public administration, social work or equivalent field.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience.
• Experience in student recruitment, admissions, academic advising, or a similar student-facing role.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills for large groups.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute a recruitment plan to meet recruitment goals.
• Build partnerships with high school administrators, counselors, staff and community organizations.
• Represent the project at recruitment fairs, community events, and school visits.
• Coordinate prospective participant events.
• Analyze retention data to identify trends.
• Plan and implement retention programming.
• Assist participants regarding academic standing, goal setting, and college/career planning.
