Job summary

Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI seeks a Coordinator - Recruitment for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences to plan and staff undergraduate recruitment events, coordinate with CMU Admissions, Academic Advising, Success Coaches, CMU Online and Athletics, and align calendars to boost CLASS enrollment.

The role reports to the dean, builds partnerships with departments, manages communications, tracks yields and enrollment data, and supports transfer student articulation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three years of related work experience, preferably in education or office environment.
• Ability to articulate the focus and value of programs in the college and Liberal Arts.
• Strong written and verbal communication with prospective students, families, and campus partners.
• Plan and execute multiple concurrent events and meet deadlines.
• Exercise independent judgment and collaborate with campus partners.
• Knowledge of higher education admissions, enrollment management, and student retention.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the college’s primary point of contact for CLASS recruitment.
• Coordinate undergraduate recruiting and yield events, including CMU & U Days, Discovery Days, Maroon and Gold events, and Centralis.
• Chair the college Recruitment Committee and represent CLASS at university-wide events.
• Coordinate calendars with CMU Admissions, Academic Advising, Success Coaches, CMU Online, CMU Athletics to reduce duplication.
• Develop recruitment communications, materials, and event schedules with CLASS Dean’s Office staff.
• Maintain prospective-student communications and recruitment data with confidentiality.
• Track recruitment, yield, and enrollment data to inform college strategy.
• Manage transfer student articulation agreements and 2+2, 3+1, 2+3 pathways with CMU Admissions and CMU Online.
• Coordinate campus visits and individualized visit experiences for prospective CLASS students and families.
