Job summary

Ohio Department of Veterans Services (ODVS) is seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to support the Human Resources Team and the Ohio Veterans Homes. The role develops recruitment plans, attends career fairs, and maintains relationships with schools and applicant pools, blending recruiting, networking and creativity.

The successful candidate will travel up to 50%, manage hiring platforms, and build partnerships with education programs to staff direct care positions.

Qualifications

  • 3 yrs. exp. in human resources.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 12 mos. exp. in human resources.
  • Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Analyst, 64612.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Travel up to 50% as required.
  • Focus on recruiting for direct care positions (STNA/CNA, LPN, RN).
  • Manages ODVS Indeed, LinkedIn, Handshake, OhioMeans Jobs, and other hiring platform accounts.
  • Establishes & maintains relationships with schools, programs & businesses that educate, certify, graduate &/or license CNAs, LPNs &/or RNs.
  • Schedules classroom visits with students to discuss employment opportunities; attends external job fairs/hiring events at schools and colleges.
  • Responsible for personnel actions/selection (creating, processing entering, filing, routing, approving & auditing for compliance, screening, scheduling & interviewing).
  • Helps with organizational design - maintains tables of organization & creates & maintains succession plans; researches recruitment methods & advertises vacancies.
  • Assists in monitoring, preparing &/or processing forms & reports for non-primary human resources sub-programs.

Job Description

We’re seeking an outgoing, creative, & proactive Recruitment Coordinator to support the Human Resources Team and the Ohio Veterans Homes. This person will be responsible for developing a recruitment plan, attending career fairs, maintaining relationships with schools & our applicant pool. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives at the intersection of recruiting, networking, and creativity.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
