About the Role

Our client, a specialist recruitment consultancy located in the picturesque town of Paarl, Western Cape , is seeking a dedicated and insightful Recruitment Consultant to focus on the Financial Services sector. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong understanding of banking, insurance, investment management, and fintech industries. You will be responsible for sourcing, assessing, and placing top talent, from entry-level positions to senior management, for a diverse portfolio of clients across the Western Cape . The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions, understand their unique talent needs, and act as a trusted advisor. Key Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and interview candidates for a wide range of financial services roles, including financial advisors, analysts, compliance officers, underwriters, and management positions, within the Paarl and surrounding areas.
• Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to attract high-calibre professionals in the competitive financial services market.
• Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients in the banking, insurance, investment, and fintech sectors.
• Conduct in-depth client needs assessments to fully comprehend their organizational structure, culture, and specific recruitment requirements.
• Manage the entire recruitment process from initial engagement and candidate sourcing to offer negotiation and successful placement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, market intelligence, and compensation benchmarks relevant to the financial services sector in the Western Cape .
• Utilize recruitment databases, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and professional networking platforms to manage candidate pipelines and recruitment activities efficiently.
• Ensure a superior candidate experience, providing clear communication and professional guidance throughout the process.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and best practices within the financial services domain.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience, with a demonstrable focus or strong interest in the Financial Services sector.
• A good understanding of the financial services industry, common roles, and necessary qualifications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and candidates.
• Proficiency in using recruitment software and databases.
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach to work.
• Ability to manage multiple vacancies and meet demanding deadlines.
• A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Finance, Business, HR) is advantageous.
• Experience recruiting for clients in the Paarl area or broader Western Cape financial sector is a distinct advantage.
