You will join an established Energy business with an active client portfolio across North America, focusing on expanding into new markets and technologies while leading a small, high-performing team of recruiters. This role combines leadership with hands-on execution in a fast-growing environment.
Our client is a specialist search and talent advisory firm focused exclusively on the energy and infrastructure sectors. With offices in Los Angeles, Houston and New York City, we partner with operators, investors, developers, engineering firms, utilities, technology businesses and advisory firms to build the leadership teams driving North America's energy transition.
Our Energy business supports organisations across the entire energy value chain, from capital allocation and project development through engineering, construction, operations, commercial optimisation and executive leadership. We recruit technical, commercial and leadership talent that enables our clients to deliver reliable, affordable and resilient energy systems.
Our conviction is simple: energy security and resilience are among the defining priorities of our generation. As extreme weather, aging infrastructure, increasing electrification and unprecedented power demand reshape the energy landscape, resilient and secure energy systems have become board-level and national priorities. The people leading this transformation will determine
how successfully North America delivers the next generation of energy infrastructure.
As Team Leader – Clean Energy, you'll lead and grow one of our client's specialist teams within our Energy business. This opportunity is designed for an experienced, entrepreneurial recruiter who enjoys combining exceptional personal performance with leadership. You'll continue building your own desk while mentoring consultants, developing long-term client partnerships and helping shape the continued growth of our Clean Energy practice across North America.
You'll join an established Energy business with an existing client portfolio spanning developers, utilities, investors, EPC contractors, engineering consultancies, technology companies and infrastructure owners. Rather than building a business from scratch, you'll focus on expanding an already successful team, identifying new market opportunities and developing the next generation of recruiters.
Supported by an experienced leadership team and dedicated operations, finance, marketing and talent acquisition functions, you'll be empowered to focus on what you do best - building relationships, winning new business, delivering exceptional recruitment solutions and developing a high-performing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to step into
leadership while remaining highly commercial and hands-on within one of North America's fastest-growing specialist search firms.
Joining our client means becoming part of a collaborative, entrepreneurial business where successful leaders are trusted to grow.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
You’ll balance personal production with leadership, coaching and commercial growth while helping to drive the continued success of the Clean Energy team. Working closely with the Head of Energy and Managing Partners, you’ll identify new market opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships and support the growth of one of our client's fastest-growing specialist markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
Clean Energy sits at the heart of our client's broader Energy business and supports organisations accelerating the transition to a lower-carbon, more resilient energy system. The team partners with developers, utilities, investors, technology companies, OEMs, EPC contractors and engineering consultancies across renewable energy, solar, onshore and offshore wind, battery energy storage
systems (BESS), hydrogen, carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), nuclear and small modular reactors (SMRs), geothermal, grid modernization, transmission and distribution, electrification, EV charging infrastructure, distributed energy resources (DER), virtual power plants (VPP), energy software, independent power producers (IPPs), clean energy investment and emerging energy technologies.
They recruit across the full project lifecycle, supporting organisations with technical, engineering, commercial, project delivery, operations, finance, strategy and executive leadership talent.
We're looking for an ambitious recruitment leader who enjoys developing people, building long-term client partnerships and driving commercial success.
A bachelor's degree is preferred but not essential.
Our client believes exceptional recruitment businesses are built by exceptional people who are given the freedom, support and trust to succeed. Our business has established itself as a respected specialist across energy, infrastructure and industrial markets, with a growing North American platform and hundreds of existing client relationships that create immediate opportunities for experienced recruiters. Rather than navigating layers of bureaucracy, you'll work directly alongside experienced founders and business leaders who remain actively involved in the market and are committed to helping you grow your own business.
If you're looking for more than just another management role - and want the opportunity to build something that reflects your own ambition, reputation and leadership - our client offers the platform to do exactly that.
