If you've been looking for a place to build something real, this might be it.
root/edge is a boutique executive search firm focused on clean energy, power infrastructure, and the energy transition. We work with developers, EPCs, utilities, OEMs, and growth-stage companies hiring the people who will define their next chapter. Meaningful work. We take it seriously.
We're backed by Tempting Ventures USA. The resources and infrastructure of a larger platform with the feel of a founder-led firm. Based in LoHi, Denver. Hybrid. Selectively adding to our team.
We're looking for someone who loves the business development side of recruitment.
The conversations. The relationship building. Understanding what a company actually needs and helping them see how you can help. Your job is to develop client relationships across the energy and infrastructure market. Identify companies that are building teams. Get in front of the right people. Bring mandates into the firm.
When you win the work, our experienced search consultants handle delivery. You stay focused on what you do best without stretching too thin.
You'll be involved in the full lifecycle of a search. You need to understand both sides well enough to have credible client conversations. But you'll have real support behind you. You won't be flying solo.
You're a natural relationship builder. Comfortable picking up the phone. Walking into a conversation without a script. Following up with the patience and consistency that turns "not right now" into a long-term client.
You probably have a background in recruitment, staffing, or B2B professional services. You don’t need to be a technical expert in energy. But you need to be genuinely curious about the market and committed to learning it. The energy transition is one of the most interesting commercial landscapes out there right now. The people doing this well understand why.
You want to be part of a collaborative team. Not working in a silo. You care about doing quality work, not just closing deals. You're in it for the long term.
We're not looking for a perfect CV. We're looking for the right person.
