Qualifications

  • Strong ability to build relationships with managers, candidates and partners.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple open requisitions and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; professional candidate experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and support recruiting teams by setting priorities and providing feedback.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify requirements and establish timelines.

  • Manage screening, interviews, offers, onboarding handoff, and candidate communications.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience for all stakeholders.
  • Monitor time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and other metrics; report to HR leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, ATS usage, and consistency.
  • Support internship and early-career recruiting initiatives with schools and community partners.
  • Represent the company culture and employment brand in all recruiting activities.

Job description

The Recruiting Supervisor leads day-to-day recruiting operations and supports the development of a high-performing talent acquisition function. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs both at the corporate and distribution center levels, builds proactive sourcing strategies, improves recruiting processes, and delivers a consistent, professional candidate experience. The position includes direct supervision of one recruiting team member and is accountable for coaching, prioritizing work, monitoring performance, and ensuring recruiting activity aligns with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute full-cycle recruiting strategies for assigned business areas, ensuring open positions are filled efficiently with qualified, aligned candidates.
  • Supervise, coach, and support teams by setting priorities, reviewing workload, providing feedback, and promoting consistent recruiting practices.
  • Partner with hiring managers to clarify position requirements, define success profiles, establish realistic timelines, and recommend effective sourcing strategies.
  • Develop proactive talent pipelines through job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals, community partnerships, schools, and other sourcing channels.
  • Manage candidate screening, interview coordination, selection support, offer preparation, onboarding handoff, and candidate communication throughout the recruiting lifecycle.
  • Ensure professional, responsive, and positive experience for candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor recruiting activity, requisition status, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate flow, and other key metrics; prepare regular reporting for HR and senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, communication, documentation, applicant tracking system usage, and overall process consistency.
  • Support internship and early-career recruiting initiatives by building relationships with schools, workforce organizations, and community partners.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, recruiting best practices, labor market trends, and recruitment technology.
  • Represent the company’s culture and employment brand in all recruiting activities and promote consistent messaging across candidate touchpoints.
  • Support additional HR initiatives, projects, reporting needs, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting responsibilities with experience providing direction, training, coaching, or day-to-day support to other team members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, interviewing practices, hiring compliance, and HR documentation requirements.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with hiring managers, candidates, team members, schools, community partners, and external recruiting resources.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and multiple open requisitions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to represent the company professionally and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Paycom HRIS platform preferred, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related recruiting tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics, identify trends, and recommend practical improvements.
