Job summary

Help At Home in Joliet, IL is seeking a Recruiting Specialist to build talent pipelines and attract caregivers and staff across our network.

You will screen applicants, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, and help optimize recruiting processes while highlighting our benefits and flexible work options. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to support diverse communities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or communications preferred.
  • 1–2 years of recruiting experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Access to insured and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Builds talent pipelines by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications; attracts applicants by posting job advertisements and using proactive recruiting techniques.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants and comparing to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules when applicable.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and qualifications with managers.
  • Improves organization attractiveness by evaluating offers and benefits.
  • Meets or exceeds Recruiting Department goals.
  • Duties may be reassigned as needed.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Builds talent pipelines by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.

  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications. Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements and using a variety of reactive and proactive recruiting techniques.

  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; comparing qualifications to job requirements.

  • When applicable, arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules.

  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants on consistent set of qualifications.

  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; emphasizing benefits and perks.

  • Meets and/or exceeds Recruiting Department and overall Organizational goals.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office.

  • Professional communication and organization skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver's license.

  • Access to insured and reliable transportation.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a relevant field preferred. High School Diploma or GED required.

  • One (1) to two (2) years of previous experience.

  • Prior experience in recruiting or talent acquisition preferred.

  • Bilingual Fluent English/Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary – ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with others to exchange information.

Travel Requirements:

  • Monthly or quarterly travel required
