Description du poste

Recruiting Manager – AI EdTech Growth Role $150K — Remote

This is a mid-to-senior people management role in a mission-driven edtech organization at the intersection of AI and workforce development. The Claude Corps program — backed by a $150M Anthropic partnership — signals real institutional momentum and budget, reducing the typical nonprofit uncertainty risk.

Compensation context: The $110K–$150K range is competitive for a Recruiting Manager role in the nonprofit/edtech sector, and roughly on par with equivalent roles at mid-stage tech companies. In pure Big Tech, this level might reach $160K–$200K+, but the mission alignment and PSLF eligibility are meaningful offsets for some candidates.

Skills you'll build:

  • High-volume recruiting operations management — a highly transferable skill across HR, TA, and People Ops
  • AI-augmented recruiting workflows — increasingly valuable as automation reshapes talent acquisition
  • Early-talent program management — a niche but growing field as companies invest in pipeline development
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management (Anthropic, Social Finance, CodePath program teams)

Green flags: Clear reporting structure, well-defined success metrics, explicit coaching culture, and a high-profile AI partnership that adds resume credibility. The role offers real ownership within a defined scope.

Watch for: "Cohort is larger than the last" signals rapid scaling — expect process ambiguity and a heavier workload during surge periods. The role is execution-focused; strategic influence is limited to the Director level, so if you want to own recruiting strategy, this may feel constraining.

Overall, a strong stepping stone toward a Director of Talent Acquisition or Head of People Ops role, especially for those building credentials in AI-adjacent organizations.

About the Role

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Role Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Director, Early Talent, Claude Corps
Manages: Claude Corps screeners
Compensation: $110,000 to $150,000

About Claude Corps

Claude Corps is a fellowship that places early-career talent in nonprofits, government agencies, and public-interest organizations to build AI solutions those organizations can continue using after the fellowship ends. It is a partnership between Anthropic, CodePath, and Social Finance. Fellows are full-time employees for a one-year term.

Each cohort is larger than the last, and every candidate deserves a process that feels organized, responsive, and human. That's where you come in.

You’ll lead the Claude Corps screener team day to day. You make sure applications are reviewed, screens are completed, and every candidate decision is documented on time.

The Director sets recruiting strategy and cohort hiring goals. You turn those goals into weekly targets, plan staffing, and manage the team's work. This is a hands‑on management role. You train and coach screeners, review their work, and keep selection standards consistent as volume grows. You work closely with the Director, the recruiting coordinator, and the Claude Corps program team.

Key Activities

  • Turn cohort hiring goals into weekly review and screening targets with the Director
  • Assign work based on volume, deadlines, and screener availability
  • Track outstanding reviews, screens, and decisions, and flag staffing gaps early
  • Deliver a steady pipeline of qualified candidates to final‑round interviews

Maintain clear selection standards

  • Train screeners on the program’s eligibility requirements, interview questions, and evaluation criteria
  • Make sure every decision has a completed scorecard with clear evidence
  • Review decisions regularly for consistency across screeners, and resolve unclear guidance
  • Use candidate and final‑round results to sharpen screening guidance and questions

Build and lead the screener team

  • Hire and train screeners as cohort needs grow
  • Set clear expectations for output, decision quality, documentation, and candidate communication
  • Coach screeners with regular feedback and address performance issues directly
  • Run weekly team meetings and keep the screener guide and process instructions current

Run the operation

  • Keep Greenhouse reviews, stages, and scorecards complete and accurate
  • Give the Director weekly results, explain what’s driving changes, and recommend actions
  • Plan screening capacity ahead of application surges and share what results show about where more qualified applicants are needed
  • Use AI and automation to cut repetitive administrative work, and train screeners to check the quality of what it produces
  • Keep people responsible for evaluating candidates and making selection decisions

Key Success Metrics

  • Weekly delivery: Application reviews and screens meet agreed targets, and delays and staffing gaps are flagged early
  • Selection quality: Screeners apply criteria consistently, with clear evidence in every scorecard
  • Screener readiness: New screeners are trained in time for cohort needs and meet the team’s standards
  • Accurate reporting: The Director gets reliable weekly numbers with context and recommended actions
  • Team performance: Screeners get regular feedback, and performance issues are addressed promptly

Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of recruiting experience, including managing recruiters or screeners in a high‑volume or early‑talent hiring program
  • Experience managing a team’s workload, output, and quality using weekly targets and reporting
  • Proven ability to train people to apply consistent selection standards, with methods to verify decision quality
  • Experience coaching team members and addressing performance issues directly
  • Personal experience reviewing applications and conducting structured candidate screens at volume
  • Ability to manage candidate stages, scorecards, and reports in an ATS (Greenhouse experience preferred)
  • Active use of AI in your work, with a concrete example of a process you improved or automated
  • Ability to build clear processes while a program is still developing and adjust them as needed
