Job summary

Western Trailers in Boise, Idaho seeks an organized HR Generalist with a strong recruiting focus to manage staffing for manufacturing, skilled-trade, driving, technical, and administrative roles. This is a full-time, onsite position that aims to deliver a positive, responsive candidate experience.

In addition to recruiting, the role supports onboarding, benefits enrollment, HRIS, employee records, and HR projects, offering broad exposure to HR processes and systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least three years of professional recruiting, HR, staffing, or related experience.
• Experience managing multiple job openings and coordinating candidates through the hiring process.
• Strong written, verbal, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, schedules, and candidate qualifications.
• Create and maintain job descriptions and postings across Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, and other recruiting sources.
• Review applications, conduct initial phone screens, schedule interviews, and maintain communication with candidates and managers.
• Coordinate offers, background checks, drug screens, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Maintain recruiting records and provide regular updates regarding candidates and openings.
• Identify new recruiting sources and represent Western Trailers at job fairs and events.
• Support a professional, organized candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
• Serve as a primary contact for staffing agencies and coordinate temp-to-hire rollovers.
• Coordinate new-hire orientations and ensure onboarding paperwork is completed.
