Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company seeks a Recruiting Coordinator for Snowshoe Resort to support the winter 2026-2027 ramp-up. You’ll help manage applications, conduct interviews, extend offers, and coordinate housing for new hires in a dynamic mountain resort environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating international recruitment logistics, onboarding, and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience while adhering to HR policies and seasonal timelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in recruiting or outdoor industry is preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Screen, route, and process applications for domestic and direct-hire positions.
• Conduct interviews, extend offers, and coordinate housing with candidates.
• Create and post new job opportunities and assist with onboarding and new-hire processes.
• Coordinate offers and hiring in partnership with hiring managers, including international hiring logistics.
• Maintain confidentiality of employees and applicants and stay compliant with laws.

POSITION SUMMARY

Are you looking to build your resume with professional experience and have fun at the same time? Look no further! The Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for supporting Snowshoe’s hiring process and ensuring a positive experience for each candidate. Snowshoe’s Recruiting team engages in a combination of direct and indirect hiring and supports hiring managers and leadership through operational processes, discovery calls, and consistent communication. This position will support our upcoming winter 2026-2027 ramp-up and has a tentative start date of 11/1/26.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Domestic Recruiting Screen, route, and process new applications.
• Conduct interviews, extend offers, and coordinate housing with candidates for direct hire positions.
• Communicate professionally and in a timely fashion with applicants.
• Create and post new job opportunities.
• Assist with the onboarding process and new hire process.
• Send offers and process hiring for new and returning employees in partnership with hiring managers.
• International Recruiting Help coordinate the logistics for international employee arrivals and departures.
• Help process international employee hiring.
• Assist with international transport - arrival, medical transport, departure, cultural trips, Social Security trips, etc.
• Serve as a support liaison for international workers during their employment.
• Coordinate and schedule cultural trips for J1 students.
• Administrative Maintain accurate notes and tracking of candidates through the recruiting processes and Workforce Plans.
• Create a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience with a focus on exceptional service.
• Stay current on technical recruiting knowledge and industry trends and comply with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all employees, applicants, and HR business.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives within recruiting - propose solutions and ideas to find more efficient ways to deliver HR support.

REQUIRED

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel (day or overnight) as needed.

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

• College degree, preferably in HR or Business.
• 1-2 years’ experience in the outdoor industry (bonus points if within the ski industry).
• 1 year of experience in recruiting.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office.
• Have a valid Drivers license and ability to pass the Snowshoe Driving Program
