Job summary

Ogletree Deakins in Denver, CO is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to partner with the Recruiting & Retention team. You will coordinate interviews, screen applications, source candidates, and post job ads while supporting firmwide recruiting initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years in recruiting, a degree, and strong MS Office skills. Candidates with HR or LinkedIn Recruiter experience and ATS exposure are preferred. This is a full-time on-site opportunity with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or community college.
  • Experience in a high-volume work environment.
  • Highly detail oriented with strong prioritization skills.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter is preferred.
  • ATS experience (iCIMS or VIRecruit) is a plus.
  • Law firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate interview scheduling with candidates, attorneys, and hiring managers.
  • Maintain files, prepare correspondence, ensure data accuracy, and update ad hoc reports.
  • Coordinate ongoing check-in calls with current attorneys to support engagement.
  • Respond to candidate inquiries quickly and professionally.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and diversity data in the ATS.
  • Address a broad range of recruitment inquiries, including internal ones.
  • Support administrative and strategic initiatives as needed.

Job description

Position Summary

Our Recruiting & Retention Department has an exciting opportunity for a Recruiting Coordinator or Senior Recruiting Coordinator to join our team in Denver, CO. In this role, you will serve as a key partner to the Recruiting & Retention team, providing high-level coordination and operational support across the firm’s California offices supporting Associate and Counsel searches. This position will work closely with and support the Firm’s Senior Manager of Attorney Recruiting. Responsibilities include coordinating interviews, screening applications, sourcing candidates for open opportunities, and preparing and posting job advertisements on the Firm’s website and various job boards. The position also supports the execution of firmwide recruiting initiatives and contributes to administrative and strategic projects that advance the Firm’s overall talent objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Act as a central point of coordination for interview scheduling with candidates, attorneys, and hiring managers, including gathering availability, managing follow-ups, compiling interview feedback, and maintaining regular communication with applicants to support a positive candidate experience.
  • Provide administrative and operational support by maintaining files, preparing correspondence, ensuring data accuracy, and updating ad hoc reports.
  • Coordinate ongoing check-in calls with current attorneys to support engagement and retention efforts.
  • Respond to and route candidate inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, including diversity data and candidate submissions, while ensuring accurate tracking within the applicant tracking system.
  • Respond to a broad range of recruitment inquiries including but not limited to internal inquiries.
  • Support a range of administrative and strategic initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or community college
  • Must possess experience in a high-volume work environment
  • It is essential that this candidate is highly detail oriented and has strong prioritization skills
  • Advanced experience with all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Some experience in HR is preferred, but not required
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter is preferred
  • Applicant tracking system (ATS) experience, such as iCIMS or VIRecruit, is a plus
  • Law firm experience is a plus
Wage Transparency

In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $55,500 and $90,200. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.

In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act Transparency Notice, the expected salary range for this Illinois position is between $55,500 and $90,200. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $51,840 and $77,760.
