The Short Scoop:
You've worked an agency recruiting desk. You understand candidates, clients, business development, objections, closing, counteroffers, and everything else that makes recruiting look a lot easier from the outside than it actually is.
And somewhere along the way, you discovered that you also really enjoy helping other recruiters get better.
Maybe you've moved into L&D full time. Maybe training and developing recruiters has been part of your job as a team lead, manager or top producer. Either way, you know agency recruiting firsthand and you're interested in making talent development a bigger part of your career.
Our client is a fast-growing international staffing organization making a significant investment in its U.S. business. They are looking for someone to become the hands-on Talent Development Partner for their growing U.S. teams.
This is not a corporate L&D role removed from the action. You'll be in the office, in the classroom and alongside recruiters at their desks, helping primarily early-career recruiters learn the business and become productive faster.
Location:
Orlando, FL or Atlanta, GA
Status:
Full-time onsite
Relocation assistance may be available for the right person
Why You Should Apply
- Play a key role in the growth of a rapidly expanding U.S. staffing business
- Take ownership of recruiter onboarding and development while working from an established training foundation
- Get back to the part of recruiting many people enjoy most: coaching people, solving problems and watching them succeed
- Competitive base salary of approximately $70,000–$95,000, depending on experience, plus quarterly performance bonus
- Opportunity to grow your own L&D skills and career as the U.S. organization expands
- Work with an international talent development team while becoming the boots-on-the-ground training resource in the U.S.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering hands-on onboarding and development programs for new recruiters, with most new hires entering the industry at an early-career level
- Teaching the fundamentals of agency recruiting, including candidate attraction, screening, engagement, job management, business development, objection handling, closing and relationship management
- Delivering a mix of classroom, small-group, virtual and 1:1 training
- Coaching recruiters at their desks using live calls, real searches and real situations as teaching opportunities
- Working with managers to identify performance gaps early and develop practical coaching plans
- Taking an existing training framework and continually improving, adapting and refining it for the U.S. business
- Partnering with multiple staffing businesses and leaders, each with slightly different needs and priorities
- Helping new recruiters progress from "rookie" to confident, productive professionals
- Traveling between the Orlando and Atlanta offices periodically, generally a few times per quarter
About You
- 2+ years of successful agency recruiting experience, ideally in a 360/full-desk, business development or account management environment
- You understand the relationship between recruiter, candidate and client because you've lived it yourself
- Some real experience training, coaching or developing other recruiters. This could be formal L&D experience or a meaningful part of a recruiting leadership role
- You do not need to be a career L&D professional. Someone relatively early in their talent development career who has a strong agency recruiting foundation could be an excellent fit
- Comfortable teaching the fundamentals repeatedly as new groups of recruiters join the organization
- Energetic and engaging in front of a group, but equally comfortable coaching someone 1:1 at their desk
- Able to give constructive feedback and have direct performance conversations when needed
- Organized enough to work across multiple teams, managers and competing priorities without saying yes to everything
- Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy recruiting and get satisfaction from helping other recruiters become good at it
Sponsorship is not an option for this role.
