Position Summary

The Recruiter & Mobile Onboarding Specialist, reporting to the Sr. HR Manager, supports workforce staffing for large-scale industrial construction and data center projects. This role is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, onboarding, and deploying skilled craft professionals including but not limited to welders, fitters, iron workers, helpers, electricians and engineers to travel to different project sites. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment, is comfortable traveling to project sites, and excels at building relationships with candidates.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required.

Licensure/Certification: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Experience: 5+ years of experience recruiting skilled craft roles within the industry required.

Required Skills: A strong understanding of industry-standard terminology related to workforce deployment and project staffing, including but not limited to per diem, mobilization, demobilization, travel pay, and craft classifications/job requirements. Knowledge of basic jobsite safety practices and PPE. Familiarity with large-scale industrial projects (power plants, refineries, manufacturing facilities, data centers). Willingness and ability to travel to mobile deployment sites and recruiting events. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong organizational and logistics coordination skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
  • Source, recruit, and screen qualified craft professionals including but not limited to; welders, fitters, iron workers, helpers, electricians, and engineers.
  • Develop and maintain strong pipelines of skilled labor for industrial and data center projects.
  • Partner with site managers and supervision to understand workforce needs and timelines.
  • Conduct phone screens, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment databases.
  • Conduct mock interview preparation sessions for candidates and review/reformat resumes.
Mobile Onboarding & Workforce Deployment
  • Travel to mobile deployment sites to conduct in-person onboarding and orientation.
  • Work with HR to ensure all compliance requirements are completed prior to deployment (e.g. certifications, safety documentation, background checks, drug screenings).
  • Facilitate new hire paperwork, I-9 verification, W-4, direct deposit, benefits enrollment.
  • Support the operations team as needed in transporting new hires throughout their onboarding process.
Career Fairs & Recruiting Events
  • Professionally represents the company at career fairs, trade schools, and recruiting events.
  • Develop partnerships with workforce development programs and technical training institutions.
  • Promote employer brand and career opportunities.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Ability to work a combination of office (minimum of 2 days in the corporate office), remote, and field-based work.
  • Ability to travel frequently by car and air to onboarding sites, career fairs, and recruiting events.
  • Ability to work outside-of-normal work hours for coordination work with Manila FieldCOM training team.
  • Ability to stand for long durations during career fairs, orientation sessions, and onsite onboarding activities.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while conducting interviews, administrative tasks, and documentation processing.
  • Ability to walk and climb stairs, navigating uneven terrain at construction sites.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 25-30 pounds (e.g., onboarding materials, recruiting displays, PPE).
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, and gloves if required.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while conducting interviews, administrative tasks, and documentation processing.
  • Ability to use a computer, tablet, and mobile devices for extended periods.
