Job summary

Camelot Community Care is seeking a dedicated professional to lead foster child recruitment and support adoption activities in the Hillsborough County area. The role involves coordinating community outreach, managing inquiries, and ensuring children are listed on Florida adoption exchanges.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in a human service field with 4–10 years of related experience and are able to work with local care managers to facilitate interventions and referrals as part of a supportive

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a human service field and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience coordinating adoption recruitment and community outreach is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Selects foster children for whom child specific recruitment will be required.
• Designs and carries out a community recruitment campaign using media, public awareness activities and presentations.
• Participates in community adoption activities.
• Responds to adoption inquiry calls received on designated Wendy's Wonderful Kids 1-800 line.
• Ensures identified children are registered on Florida's internet adoption exchange and Hillsborough Kids, Inc.'s adoption website.
• Establishes relationships with child and care manager to ensure appropriate interventions are provided.
• Refers waiting children and recruited families to appropriate supportive services that enhance recruitment effort.
• Provides monthly statistical reports to supervisor.
