Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in higher education.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and direct auxiliary recruitment activity (examples: campus tour program, new market recruitment, ambassador program, recruiter communication plans/strategies, social marketing strategy, etc.);
Provide guidance to new staff and administrative support to more experienced staff;
Collaborate with other campus departments and offices regarding admission and recruitment activities;
Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors and community college representatives;
Deliver admissions presentations in a variety of settings with numerous types of audiences;
Plan and participate in on- and off-campus recruiting events;
Report and track recruiting activities;
Assigned to greater US recruitment territory for the purposes of outreach and communications;
Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and others who contact the Office of Admissions via telephone, email, or in person;
Provide campus tours for prospective students and their families;
Provide and assist prospective students and visitors with the UA Little Rock application process for admission, financial aid, and the BOSS student database system;
Perform data entry and review admission documents such as high school transcripts, college transcripts, test scores (ACT, SAT, Accuplacer), immunization records, letters of good standing, letters of non-attendance, permission letters from parents and school officials, etc., to uphold the university's admission standards;
Determine admissibility to the university and render an admission decision;
Utilize websites to ensure accreditation of colleges attended by transfer applicants and verify enrollment at previous institutions;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Superior communication skills, oral and written, are essential, especially when responding to non-technical users of campus data;
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills;
Experience in advanced recruitment technology and applications;
Ability to work with a team serving a diverse student population;
Self-motivated, creative, customer-service-focused, and detail-oriented;
Ability to self-initiate project tasks after accepting an assignment under general supervision;
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment;
Extensive knowledge of the various steps for enrollment from application to enrollment;
Ability to work with large data files while interfacing with a central backbone administrative system;
Ability to read maps and give directions;
Knowledge of the internet and conventional office technology tools is required (These tools include e-mail, internet search engines, and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access as well as Banner);
Ability to organize multiple tasks and documents that have been concurrently assigned;
Ability to maintain cohesive working files and documentation of project tasks;
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends;
Ability to create short reports or narratives that may be required to explain data results or the significance of the data applied to the original statement of the problem;
Ability to operate a motor vehicle and hold a valid driver's license;
Ability to travel in and out of state, including overnight stays.
