Job summary

Southport Mechanical is seeking a Recruiting professional to attract, engage and hire skilled candidates across the organization, from technicians to leadership roles. This role emphasizes relationship-building, candidate experience, and ambassadorial work for Southport.

You will manage full-cycle recruiting, source and screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and build strong partnerships with hiring managers and schools to develop a talent pipeline. On-site work in Caledonia, WI is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • 1+ year recruiting experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage candidates at all levels.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple openings.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting from job postings through offer acceptance.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates from offer acceptance through onboarding to ensure a positive experience.
  • Source, screen, and evaluate candidates across multiple channels, including online job boards, referrals, and recruiting events.
  • Conduct phone interviews and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities.
  • Create engaging job postings that accurately reflect Southport’s culture and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Attend and represent Southport at career fairs, recruiting events, trade shows, high school career days, technical college events, and other workforce development initiatives.
  • Track recruiting metrics and identifying opportunities to improve hiring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local high schools, technical colleges, and other organizations.

  • Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record
