Job summary

Spherion Staffing WI & Northern IL in Rockford is hiring a recruiter to join our tenured team. You will source, evaluate, and onboard talent for placement with local client partners and collaborate closely with clients to design tailored recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and evaluate candidates across industries.
• Partner with clients to determine talent acquisition objectives, write job descriptions, and develop recruitment strategies.
• Build talent pipelines using various channels including databases, boards, networking, and outreach.
• Guide candidates through interview, offer, and onboarding processes with coaching as needed.
• Maintain regular client communication regarding progress, timelines, and market insights.
• Support employees on assignment through check-ins and issue resolution.
• Complete background checks, employment verifications, and other pre-employment activities.
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems.
• Stay current on local hiring trends, compensation, and workforce conditions.
• Represent Spherion at hiring events and community activities.

Spherion Staffing & Recruiting is hiring a recruiter to join our growing Rockford, IL team. In this role, you'll work as part of our tenured recruiting team to source, evaluate, and onboard talent for placement with local client partners. You’ll also collaborate closely with clients to develop tailored recruitment strategies and support candidates throughout the hiring process.

What you'll do

• Recruit, interview, and evaluate candidates for a variety of positions across many industries
• Partner with clients to determine talent acquisition objectives, write job descriptions, and develop recruitment strategies
• Build talent pipelines using a variety of channels e.g., internal databases, job boards, community organizations, social media, networking, and proactive outreach
• Guide candidates through the client interview, offer, and onboarding process, offering coaching as needed and celebrating their success
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding candidate progress, hiring timelines, and market insights
• Support employees on assignment through check-ins, issue resolution, and ongoing relationship management
• Complete background checks, employment verifications, skills assessments, and other pre-employment activities
• Maintain accurate records in our internal systems
• Stay current on local hiring trends, compensation, and workforce conditions
• Represent Spherion at hiring events, networking opportunities, and community events

What we're looking for

• Prior recruiting and/or business development experience is a plus, but not required
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Compensation includes a competitive base salary, expected to be in the range of $45,000-$55,000 depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes: Health, Vision, Dental, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA, 401(k) with an automatic company contribution, Parental Leave, Competitive PTO & Holiday Package, Summer Fridays (out every other Friday at noon during the summer).
