Job summary

Battle House Hotel and Spa is seeking a Recruiter to support HR in attracting and screening qualified hospitality talent. The role involves phone interviews, explaining positions, and coordinating with management to understand staffing needs.

You will craft job descriptions, develop recruitment programs, and build networks to source candidates. Expect to engage with applicants professionally and coordinate interviews and postings across channels.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with management to determine personnel needs, job specifications, qualifications, and skills.
• Drafts, reviews, and edits of job descriptions to reflect requirements accurately.
• Develops recruitment programs, budgets, and marketing materials to attract qualified candidates.
• Builds and maintains a network of contacts to source applicants.
• Proactively reaches out to potential candidates to gauge interest and fit.
• Evaluates applications and conducts interviews to assess history, education, and salary expectations.
• Screens and refers qualified candidates for further interviews with stakeholders.
• Develops recruitment collateral like brochures and written advertisements.
• Writes and places job advertisements across media platforms.
• Coordinates internal job postings and prepares job postings.
• Represents the organization at job fairs and engages with candidates.
• Establishes relationships with schools and public organizations to attract applicants.
• Conducts presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs to promote opportunities.
• Collaborates with external recruiters to identify candidates.
• Uses online sources to attract potential candidates and informs them about opportunities.
• Provides information about facilities and opportunities to applicants.
• Arranges travel and accommodations for out-of-town applicants when needed.
• Conducts reference and background checks to verify credentials.

Job Description:

As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of a Recruiter is to support the HR department in attracting and recruiting exceptional talent for diverse positions within the hotel by collaborating closely with management to gain a deep understanding of specific personnel requirements, job specifications, duties and desired qualifications and skills. This role will review applications, conduct phone interviews, provide applicants with information about the hotel and the positions they are applying for, and refer qualified candidates for additional interviews. A crucial part of this role is to engage with applicants in a friendly and professional manner, showcasing excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with management.

• Collaborates with management and supervisors to determine personnel needs, job specifications, qualifications, and skills.

• Arranges travel arrangements and accommodations for out-of-town applicants, as needed.
• Conducts reference and background checks on applicants to verify their credentials and suitability for employment.
• Coordinates effective communication with applicants throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintains accurate and organized employment records for future reference and compliance.
