Job summary

Beacon Specialized Living is seeking an experienced Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team in Dumfries, VA. The role focuses on sourcing, interviewing, and hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to staff our residential homes, while building strong pipelines for ongoing needs.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of recruiting experience, a background in healthcare or mental health is a plus, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of recruiting experience and 1-3 years in HR/Management or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, Dev/Marketing, business, or related field.
• Healthcare or behavioral health background a plus; clean background check.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and pass background checks.
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for DSPs and other assigned roles.
• Source candidates via job boards, social media, partnerships, referrals, and events.
• Screen resumes, conduct phone/virtual interviews, and coordinate interviews.
• Extend offers and guide candidates through pre-employment and onboarding.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and leaders to plan staffing needs and strategies.
• Build and maintain talent pipelines for ongoing needs.
• Monitor recruitment metrics and adjust sourcing to meet goals.
• Ensure compliant practices with employment laws and company policies.
• Maintain candidate records in the ATS and represent Beacon at events.

Position Summary

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead full-cyclerecruitment for DirectSupport Professionals (DSPs) and otherassigned positions.
• Source qualified candidatesusing job boards, social media, communitypartnerships, employeereferrals, career fairs, and other recruitingchannels.
• Screen resumes, conductphone and virtualinterviews, and coordinatehiring manager interviews.
• Extend employment offersand guide candidatesthrough the pre-employment and onboardingprocess.
• Partner with hiringmanagers and seniorleadership to understandstaffing needs anddevelop effective recruitmentstrategies.
• Build and maintaintalent pipelines tosupport ongoing hiringneeds for residentialgroup homes.
• Monitor recruiting metricsand adjust sourcingstrategies to meethiring goals.
• Ensure recruiting practicesremain compliantwith applicable employmentlaws, Joint Commissionstandards, and companypolicies.
• Maintain accurate candidaterecords within the Applicant Tracking System(ATS).
• Represent Beacon professionallyat hiring events,job fairs, andcommunity outreach activities.
• Promote Beacon's mission, culture, and employmentbrand to prospectivecandidates.

Education and Qualifications:

• Three to five years of recruiting experience, and one to three years of experience in the HR/Management field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
• A bachelor’s degree is preferred (in human resources, organizational development, marketing, business, or a similar field is preferred).
• A background in mental health or healthcare is a plus.
• Must pass criminal background check
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language.
• Approved by state, federal and government entities to work within BSLS programs.
• Ability to use office equipment, including BSLS information technology systems.

• Monday-Friday
• 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
