Job summary

Peerstar LLC is a community-based behavioral health organization focused on recovery, empowerment, and wellness. We seek a motivated Recruiting/Onboarding Specialist to support hiring efforts and manage pre-employment and onboarding processes across programs.

The role covers full-cycle recruitment, candidate outreach, interview coordination, ATS maintenance, and onboarding activities to ensure smooth transitions for new hires in the behavioral health field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business or related field.
• Experience in healthcare or behavioral health preferred.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for positions including peer support specialists and program staff.
• Manage job advertisements across multiple recruiting platforms.
• Screen resumes, conduct candidate outreach, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system.
• Coordinate all pre-employment onboarding activities.
• Ensure completion of background checks, clearances, and required credentials.
• Support onboarding coordination to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and timelines.
• Schedule orientation and required training for candidates in the pipeline.
• Track onboarding progress and proactively follow up on outstanding items.

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and organized Recruiting/Onboarding Specialist to support hiring efforts as well as manage the pre-employment and onboarding process for new hires across multiple programs. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruiting activities including sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting the onboarding process. In addition, this position plays an important role in helping Peerstar attract talented individuals who are passionate about supporting recovery and community-based services.
