HAN Staff in Susanville, CA is seeking a Recreational Therapist to deliver therapeutic programs in a correctional healthcare setting. This full-time role offers a $58.10 per hour pay rate on a W2 basis, with standard weekday hours and supportive onboarding.

Qualified candidates hold a CA license, have at least 1 year of relevant experience, and can provide PSV verification and required certifications (BLS, immunizations, TB). NCTRC/CBPRC credentials are welcomed.

Recreational Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs

• Consider medical records

• Personal observation and talks with the patient and his or her loved ones

• Execute a therapeutic program targeted toward what that patient requires most

• Keep current on communal and therapeutic resources available to best help the patients

• Document a patient's progress during their activities

• Other duties assigned my supervisor

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Recreational Therapist.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).

• CERTIFICATES ACCEPTED FROM THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THERAPUTIC CERTIFICATON (NCTRC) OR THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF RECREATON AND PARK CERTIFICATION (CBRPC)
