Assess patient needs
Consider medical records
Personal observation and talks with the patient and his or her loved ones
Execute a therapeutic program targeted toward what that patient requires most
Keep current on communal and therapeutic resources available to best help the patients
Document a patient's progress during their activities

Minimum Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted CA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Recreational Therapist.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., . BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
CERTIFICATES ACCEPTED FROM THE NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR THERAPUTIC CERTIFICATON (NCTRC) OR THE CALIFORNIA BOARD OF RECREATON AND PARK CERTIFICATION (CBRPC)
