We are seeking a Recreational Therapist to provide a full range of activity therapy activities and techniques to meet the developmental needs of mentally ill and/or mentally disabled prisoners within the specific discipline of recreational therapy. The role involves professional recreational therapy assignments used in therapeutic treatment, working as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team to assess needs, develop, and interpret therapy techniques and interventions. The position includes case management duties for an assigned group of prisoners.
Possession of a bachelor's degree in recreational therapy.

The Department of Corrections may screen out applicants with a felony conviction per Public Act 191 of 2017. Applicants with misdemeanor or felony convictions are ineligible until completion of all sentences, including parole or probation.
