Job summary

Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital in Yorktown, VA is seeking a Recreational Therapist to provide therapeutic recreation interventions for an assigned patient caseload. You will plan and implement recreation activities aligned with organizational and hospital guidelines, while orienting patients to recreation therapy.

CTRS certification and BLS (or completion within 90 days) are required, with full-time, on-site employment and comprehensive benefits."

Qualifications

• Current national certification from NCTRC as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements appropriate recreation activities for patients in accordance with guidelines set by the organization, hospital and the profession.
• Responsible for provision of therapeutic recreation intervention for an assigned caseload.
• Ensures all patients are oriented to recreation therapy and provides hospital wide leisure, social and divergent programs.
• Serves as an educator to patients on community resources.

Compensation: $47,840 - $64,417.60 per year
