Job summary

Justice Resource Institute seeks a Recreational Counselor to energize and engage adolescent students in on-site activities within a residential treatment setting. You will plan, organize, and lead enrichment activities—from arts and crafts to sports—fostering skills and self-esteem under guidance of the Competency Coordinator.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and community engagement. Must be at least 21, with a valid driver's license and experience in mental health or activity planning;

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Mental Health setting experience strongly preferred.
• Activity planning and community outreach experience preferred.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Are you the Recreational Counselor we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others with a dynamic team by bringing an energetic and positive approach while working with our students!

Pelham Academyis a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes intraumainformed care.Pelham provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

You will be a part of the direct care milieu staff and work under the guidance of the Competency Coordinator to carry out our mission of helping our students develop and build skills necessary for a productive future.

Schedule:Sunday - Thursday

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
