Job summary

Parkwood Behavioral Health System, a UHS facility in Desoto County, Mississippi, is seeking a Recreation Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. Recreation Therapist

We are currently seeking a Recreation Therapist to work on a as needed basis (PRN). The Recreation Therapist assesses patient's leisure and recreational development needs, providing age and developmentally appropriate therapy groups and establishing behavioral treatment goals in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood Behavioral Health System

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Recreation Therapy, or other human services field.

Experience:

One year prior psychiatric experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

CTRS preferred.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of individual, group and family therapy theory and practice, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
