Job summary

University Behavioral Health of Denton is a private freestanding psychiatric hospital providing mental health and chemical dependency care in North Texas. The Recreation Therapist will plan and implement activity services as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, supporting patient care, observation, and goal-directed therapy.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's in recreation therapy or related field (Master's in art therapy preferred) and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or related field required or equivalent.
• Master's degree in art therapy preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activity services for assigned program within the treatment team.
• Document interventions timely and align with the patient care plan.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, and role modeling to patients.
