Job summary

Southwest General Health Center in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks a licensed Recreation Therapist to deliver quality patient care through therapeutic, recreational, and leisure activities. You will develop individual treatment plans and document assessments as part of a behavioral health program.

The role requires a BS in Therapeutic Recreation, completion of an internship with a CTRS, and a willingness to obtain NCTRC certification within 6–12 months.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field. Completion of an Internship under a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
• Required length and type of experience: One year of work experience preferred in a behavioral health program.
• Required licensure, certification or registry: Obtain certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) within 6-12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care and provide excellent customer service in recreation therapy.
