Schwab Rehabilitation is looking for a compassionate, dedicated and energetic Full Time Inpatient Recreation Therapist to join our highly trained and respected therapy team. We welcome both new graduates and experienced clinicians.
The Recreation Therapy team work with patients in our Inpatient Rehabilitation units (Brain injury, Stroke, SCI and general rehab) and conduct evaluations based on patients past leisure and community involvements in order to maximize independence in leisure skills. Other responsibilities include:

Schwab Rehabilitation offers group and 1 on 1 treatment/care in a unique therapeutic environment featuring 7 large treatment gyms, multiple private treatment rooms, a warm-water indoor therapeutic pool and an award-winning therapeutic rooftop garden. We have a large team consists of PT, OT, SLP and recreational therapists including several bilingual therapists and board certified specialists. Our rehabilitation team takes a holistic, interdisciplinary approach to address the physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs of each patient.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:MINIMUM EDUCATION :
Must have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Recreational Therapy from an accredited college or university. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills to work adequately with all the other health care professionals and to establish therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or eligible. If eligible, must obtain CTRS within 180 days of employment.
