The Therapist assesses and facilitates care for assigned patients, participates in treatment and continuing care planning, manages cases, conducts individual, family, specialized, and group psychotherapy, and shares clinical information appropriately. They promote therapeutic milieu and support daily program schedules, providing patient care in a supportive and empathetic manner. On-call coverage may be required.

Essential Duties Include:

1. Assessment, Coordination & Discharge Planning
   • Meet with patients to introduce self, explain treatment goals, and coordinate with family and outpatient providers.
   • Document all activities related to assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
2. Individual and Family Therapy Services
   • Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy as assigned.
   • Document sessions and seek supervision when needed.
   • Facilitate specialized interventions when necessary.
3. Specialized Therapy Services
   • Provide specialized therapies such as Family, Equine, Art, EMDR, and SE as assigned.
4. Group Therapy / Education
   • Assist in preparing materials, conduct sessions, and support program schedule.
   • Develop syllabi or lesson plans and participate in program improvement activities.
5. Treatment Team Member
   • Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clinical concerns.
6. Performance Improvement
   • Engage in performance improvement activities per licensure and accreditation standards.
7. On-Call Services
   • Provide on-call services as needed.
8. Other
   • Maintain professional communication and respond effectively to requests. Communicate policies clearly and work well within a team.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or related field.
• State licensure required; applicants with a doctorate in Psychology may qualify as a Therapist but must apply for a Psychologist license upon hire.
• CPR & First Aid Certification.
• CPI Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License and Driver Safety Training.
• At least two years of experience in behavioral health preferred.
• Experience with specialty services (Trauma, Chemical Dependency, Eating Disorders) is a plus.
• Experience providing Family Therapy, EMDR, sex addiction, or trauma-specific therapies is preferred if conducting specialized therapy.
