Qualifications

• Education: 60 semester hours with 18 hours in health, physical education, recreation, fine arts and/or therapeutic recreation from an accredited college or university.
• Education Substitution: 2 years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in health, physical education, recreation, or fine arts may substitute for the required education.
• Licensure/Certifications: CTRS from NCTRC or APC from NCCAP may substitute for the required education.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, plan, and conduct recreation therapy programs and functional skills classes for patients.
• Provide substitute coverage and evening/weekend activity coverage.
• Conduct rehab assessments and participate as a unit team member; may oversee events with volunteers and outside groups.

Education

60 semester hours w/ 18 in health, physical education, recreation, fine arts and/or therapeutic recreation

2 years of related paid experience substitute for education

CTRS certification (NCTRC) OR APC certification (NCCAP) may substitute for education
