Job description

About the position:

This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and this position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation located in Mountain Home AFB, ID.

This is a Regular Part-time position with 20 guaranteed work hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have trip-leading experience in adventure-based recreation programming; successfully planning, organizing, and leading outdoor recreation programs for groups; guiding and teaching participants specialized skills and techniques across various sports; and practically applying risk management procedures to assess and mitigate environmental and operational hazards in remote outdoor settings.
  • Experience in accomplishment of clerical/administrative work; utilizing office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel).
