Job summary

City-of-Wildwood Recreation Department seeks a Recreation Specialist for Athletics to organize recreational activities, assist with operational projects, and communicate with the public. The position requires night and weekend hours and is under Athletics Supervisor guidance.

Responsibilities include revenue collection for rentals and events, creating league playbooks, program planning, scheduling, and marketing materials.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain one.
• Experience in physical education, recreation, or related field preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in revenues collection for facility rentals, tickets, and programs; prepares cash reports and deposits.
• Creates and maintains league playbooks and operational guides.
• Communicates with the public and responds to inquiries, requests, and complaints.
• Plans, registers, schedules, and organizes recreation programs, activities, events, and services.
• Organizes and inventories supplies and equipment to meet program needs.
• Maintains records and assists with budgeting and purchasing equipment, uniforms, and awards.
• May plan and participate in instruction, games, practices, and image events.
