The Recreation Services Manager (Executive Director of Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation) will qualify to receive a supplemental salary package from the Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation based on professional background and achievement. The salary figures listed above represent the total combined compensation.

About this position
The Recreation Services Manager (Executive Director of SCMAF) oversees the development, management, and execution of programs under the SCMAF Board of Directors. SCMAF promotes sports training and competition, physical fitness, and lifelong skills across various sports for all ages and abilities.
The role also involves serving on the Department of Parks and Recreation Sports Committee and as secretary for the A Better Life Through Sports Foundation.

REQUIREMENTS TO QUALIFY
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree* or higher AND one year of experience supervising regional or countywide sports programs. Additional experience substitutes for college up to two years.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

*To receive credit, submit official documents showing the degree conferred, including the conferral date.
**Supervising recreation activities at parks or facilities and developing specialized programs under general direction.
***Experience as a Training Coordinator involves planning and overseeing training programs.
LICENSE
A valid California Class C Driver License or alternative transportation method is required.
PHYSICAL CLASS II - Light
Positions require light physical effort, including occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, bending, stooping, and some ambulation.
OUT-OF-CLASS EXPERIENCE
Not permitted for this exam.
EXAMINATION CONTENT
Training & Experience (T&E) evaluation based on application details, accounting for 100% of the score. A score of 70% is passing.
