Job summary

The City of Clovis is hiring Program Instructors for Recreation and Senior Services. The role involves planning, executing, and instructing a range of community programs for varied ages, from basic to advanced levels. You will prepare lessons, lead sessions, and ensure safety and orderly conduct.

Two to ten hours per week, with flexibility for day and evening shifts at multiple Community Services locations. First Aid certification or ability to obtain within two months is required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in preparing program or class lessons and instructing groups of participants.
• Possession of a valid First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain within two months of hire.
• Completion of formal or informal education sufficient to assure reading and writing ability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare program and class lessons; instruct groups; establish class rules and policies.
• Set up and break down activity space; ensure proper clean-up.
• Record attendance and payments per session; collect fees; maintain equipment and supplies.
