Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation-related field and related experience in program development and management.
• CPR & First Aid certifications must be current within six months of employment.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience supervising staff and administering budgets is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates staff; conducts appraisals, interviews, and new-employee orientation.
• Plans and coordinates daily work activities, schedules, and quality control of programs.
• Monitors program participation and attendance across activities.
• Ensures compliance with laws, safety rules, and department policies.
• Develops and implements athletic and recreational programs; schedules facilities and events.
• Prepares budgets, reports, invoices, and payroll documentation.
• Responds to public inquiries and provides information on programs and fees.
• Receives revenues from registrations and deposits program fees.
• Maintains awareness of trends; participates in meetings and professional development.
