Job summary

The City of Conroe’s Oscar Johnson Jr. Enrichment & Recreation Center seeks an experienced professional to lead program development, implementation, marketing, sponsorship solicitation, and policy interpretation with fiscal oversight.

Responsibilities include supervising staff and tracking revenue and expenses for regular reports. Qualifications require 2+ years in recreation planning, 30 hours continuing education, and CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Minimum 30 hours of continuing education; preferably recreation, education, or human services required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience planning and implementing recreational activities, one year as a supervisor required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Current certification in First Aid and CPR; or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement recreation programs and activities.
• Market programs and solicit sponsorships.
• Interpret and enforce policies and regulations.
• Supervise program operations and fiscal accountability.
• Assist with budget preparation and implementation.
• Record participation, revenue, and expenses for daily/weekly/monthly/annual reports.
