Job summary

City of Temple is hiring for a Recreation Attendant role to develop and lead recreational activities and assist patrons with registration. The position requires flexibility for weekends and holidays and may involve supervising programs and events.

Under supervision, the attendant will ensure participant safety, perform administrative tasks, and maintain records. A valid driver’s license and CPR/First Aid within 90 days are preferred; food handler certification may be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years of high school.
• One year of experience as a recreation facility attendant or related role.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and well-being of participants.
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons, renters, and the public.
• Develop, lead, and supervise recreation programs, activities, and events.
• Open and close facilities and perform attendant duties.
• Maintain records and prepare reports.
• Process payments and enrollments; track attendance and finances.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and breakdown of programs and events.
