Job summary

The City of Conroe seeks a program and events supervisor to lead youth and adult activities within the Parks and Recreation Department. You will oversee program operations, manage budgets, forecast staffing and resources, and prepare required participation and financial reports.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation or related field, plus several years of experience and a supervisory background. Certification and software proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation or related field.
• Three years parks and recreation experience; one year in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and main server applications.
• Certified Parks and Recreation Professional.
• Proficient in department registration/reservation software or within one month of hire.
• Proficient in City of Conroe software applications or within one month of hire.
• First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within three months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a variety of youth and adult programs and special events.
• Manage all aspects of program and event operations and budgets.
• Forecast funds for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies.
• Submit participation and financial reports as requested.
