The City of Conroe seeks a program and events supervisor to lead youth and adult activities within the Parks and Recreation Department. You will oversee program operations, manage budgets, forecast staffing and resources, and prepare required participation and financial reports.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation or related field, plus several years of experience and a supervisory background. Certification and software proficiency are required.
This position oversees a variety of youth and adult programs and special events for the Parks and Recreation Department. Responsibilities include all aspects of program and event operations. Fiscal accountability is required with the Department's budget preparation and implementation including forecasting funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies. Submit participation and financial reports as requested.
The work is medium and requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and walking.
