The City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities is seeking a qualified Recreation Program Supervisor. This position is responsible for providing supervisory oversight for the programming, scheduling and processing of permits for Mid-town Green, Dogwood Dell, Department Community Centers, Parks/Park facilities and the coordination and implementation of Special Events to include ribbon cutting ceremonies, Juneteenth, Grand Illumination, Film Productions and other City-wide events and activities.
The Recreation Program Supervisor will work under the direction of the Recreation Program Manager for Special Events/Permits.

In terms of the physical strength to perform the essential duties, this classification is considered to be medium work (exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects), but may differ based on area of focus. The working conditions may contain environmental hazards, depending on area of focus.
