Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools’ Minnetonka Community Education seeks an entry‑level Program Manager to support the Recreation Department and Explorers childcare. You’ll assist with event logistics, youth programs, and league operations, gaining foundation experience in recreation management and program coordination.

This full‑time role requires some evening/weekend hours and offers a starting wage of $20.60 per hour, with medical and dental benefits.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in Recreation, Sport Management, Youth Development, Education, or related field.
• Experience or strong interest in program leadership, event planning, youth athletics, or recreation.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; ability to learn registration/schedule software.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational, administrative, and hands-on support to the Recreation Department.
• Support Explorers childcare by direct supervision for elementary students during the school year.
• Assist with planning, logistics, and execution of community events and youth leagues.
• Serve as primary contact for coach, parent, and participant communications; on-site supervision.
