Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Sawgrass, FL is hiring a Recreation Nursery Attendant to provide a safe, engaging space for children while guests enjoy resort amenities. You will supervise the Nursery, support recreation programs, and help deliver memorable family experiences.

The role requires strong hospitality and safety skills with the ability to handle reservations, sign-in/out procedures, and activity setup.

Qualifications

• Previous childcare, camp, recreation, youth programming, or hospitality experience preferred.
• CPR and AED certification preferred; training opportunities are available.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to create a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage reservations, account charges, and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
• Able to work as part of a recreation team with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children while parents use resort amenities.
• Supervise the Nursery and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean, organized Nursery in line with procedures.
• Monitor inventory of toys and supplies; communicate replenishment needs.
• Manage sign-in and sign-out for members and guests.
• Post Nursery charges to the appropriate accounts and manage reservations.
• Assist with planning, preparation, and execution of recreation activities and events.
• Support various programs including parties, team-building, and special events.

The Opportunity

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking a Recreation Nursery Attendant to support the Recreation Department by providing a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for the children of members and hotel guests. This position is responsible for supervising children in the Nursery, assisting with recreation programs and special events, maintaining cleanliness and organization standards, and delivering exceptional service to families utilizing resort amenities. The Recreation Nursery Attendant reports directly to the Activities & Recreation Manager and plays an important role in creating memorable experiences while ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our care.

The Day-to-Day

• Provide a safe, fun, and engaging environment for the children of members and hotel guests while parents or guardians utilize resort amenities.
• Supervise and interact with children in the Nursery while ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Nursery environment in accordance with established cleaning procedures.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of toys, games, and activity supplies, communicating replenishment needs to management.
• Manage child sign-in and sign-out procedures for members and hotel guests.
• Accurately post Nursery charges to the appropriate member or hotel guest account.
• Accept and manage reservations for Nursery events and activities with accuracy.
• Maintain awareness of upcoming programs, activities, and events through calendars and team meetings.
• Assist with the planning, preparation, and execution of recreation activities and special events.
• Support a variety of member, guest, and group programs including birthday parties, team-building events, sunset pony rides, Beach Olympics, dive-in movies, Summer Camp, holiday activities, PJ Parties, Etiquette Dinners, themed events, and corporate group activities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children participating in recreation programs and events at all times.
