Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Home is seeking a Recreation/Music Therapist Assistant to help deliver therapeutic and leisure activities for veterans, enriching their quality of life.

You will assist with planning and facilitating activities, document attendance and care plans, and provide resources to veterans to enhance skills in line with their abilities. The role supports a rewarding environment with opportunities for growth within MO Veterans Commission.

Qualifications

• 0 - 1 years of relevant experience.
• Current Missouri Class E driver license or able to obtain within 60 days

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate basic methods and application of recreational, music, and other therapeutic activities
• Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings
• Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability
• Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans
• Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway
• Lift and move Veterans as needed

Hourly Pay

• $16.99 - $18.41
• Pay based on experience
