Job summary

MISSOURI VETERANS HOME - ST. LOUIS is seeking a Recreation/Music Therapist Assistant to support therapeutic and leisure activities for veterans.

The role includes learning and applying recreational and music therapy techniques, preparing activities, and assisting veterans to build skills aligned with their abilities. You will document progress, help with care plans, and may drive state vehicles as part of day-to-day duties.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Current Missouri Class E driver license or able to obtain within 60 days.
• Ability to assist with recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Willingness to lift/move Veterans as needed.

• Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings
• Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability
• Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans
• Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway
• Lift and move Veterans as needed

Hourly Pay:

• $16.99 - $18.41
• Pay based on experience
