Job summary

Missouri Veterans Home in Missouri is seeking a part-time Recreation/Music Therapist Aide to support therapeutic and leisure activities for veterans. You will assist the team in delivering engaging programs and help create a welcoming, therapeutic environment.

Duties include preparing activities, assisting with transportation and outings, documenting attendance and progress, and providing resources to veterans to support physical and cognitive goals. A Class E driver license is required.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years of relevant experience.
• Current Missouri Class E driver license.

Responsibilities

• Learn and demonstrate basic methods and application of recreational, music, and other therapeutic activities
• Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings
• Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability
• Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans
• Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway
• Lift and move Veterans as needed
