The Missouri Veterans Home is hiring a Recreation/Music Therapist Assistant to support therapeutic and leisure activities for our Veterans. Join a caring team working to improve well-being and skills through engaging programs in a state-run environment.

Typical duties include preparing and leading activities, documenting progress, and providing transportation as needed. 4 paid holidays and a benefits package accompany competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 0 - 1 years of relevant experience.
• Current Missouri Class E driver license or able to obtain within 60 days.

• Learn and demonstrate basic methods and application of recreational, music, and other therapeutic activities.
• Make preparations/arrangements for and carry out activities, such as group outings.
• Provide resources and support to Veterans to enhance skills appropriate to their physical and cognitive ability.
• Document electronically activity attendance records, assessments, progress notes, and care plans.
• Drive bus or other state vehicles during day/night both in town and on highway.
• Lift and move Veterans as needed.

Hourly Pay

• $16.99 - $18.41
• Pay based on experience
