Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory at the South Bend Kroc Center is seeking a Recreation Manager to lead programs, supervise staff, and manage facility operations in a dynamic community setting.

You will plan activities, supervise attendants, ensure safety, and collaborate with the Program Director to maintain welcoming spaces for people to play, stay active, and connect. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and two years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with youth, sports, or customer service.
• Experience supervising staff and coordinating activities.
• Knowledge of recreation safety practices and program planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and improve recreation programs for various ages and interests.
• Oversee daily operations of the gymnasium, outdoor turf field, and Zone facility.
• Supervise, schedule, and train attendants in customer service, cleanliness, and safety.
• Develop activities for youth ages 11–17 in the Zone.
• Collaborate with the Program Director to keep spaces safe, welcoming, and well-staffed.
